Ray Rogers

 Ray Rogers is Vice-chairperson of the Local Organising Committee and a member of the Editorial Committee. Together with Joy Reardon, he is responsible for the content of the medinfo2001 web site.

 

Until August 1997 he worked in the Department of Health where he was responsible for health informatics policy in the National Health Service in England. Prior to 1997 he was Director of what is now the Medical Devices Agency having been a medical physicist. He has many publications covering his three careers. Ray is the chairperson of the Health Informatics Technical Committee of the British Standards Institute. He is now Managing Director of Ray Rogers Associates and is co-author of the recent IOS Press publication - "Barriers to a Global Information Society for Health: Recommendations for International Action".
